A unique project...

Nine years ago we moved this giant leaf cutting ant for the very first time – and we were asked back to move it once again.

What made it even more special was that two members of our team who worked on the original move were also part of this one. Sadly, our lorry from the first move couldn’t be with us due to its retirement, but our 8-wheel rigid vehicle with drawbar trailer and Fassi Crane were more than up to the job.

The giant ant has travelled from Butterfly World in St Albans, to The Royal Entomological Society in St Albans, and now on to its forever home in Norfolk at The Bug Parc.

We’re sure the children visiting the Bug Parc will get a lot of enjoyment from this gentle beast, and the staff at the Ethnological building will certainly miss their giant friend.
